Ian Jones DipFA


Ian began his career in financial services in the early 1990's and originally established The Financial Practice Ltd in 1995. He has seen the industry change considerably over this time, with three regulators coming and going during the period. Over the past 10 years he has driven the modernisation of the business, fully embracing the proposals of the Retail Distribution Review (RDR).

He is passionate about the value of Independent financial advice and places a great emphasis on providing an exceptional standard of service to all of his clients.

Outside of work Ian is a keen follower of most sports, and ran the very first London Marathon 1981. Although he no longer runs marathons, he regularly watches Leyton Orient, which he says is his therapy! Ian is an active member of the Maldon local community, is married and has two young children.

Casey joined TFP Financial Planning Ltd in August 2012 as a Director and has worked in financial services industry since 2001. He was awarded the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Chartered Financial Planner status in 2012 and in 2018 achieved the Fellowship of the Personal Finance Society. Lucy Byrom

Office Manager

Lucy joined TFP Financial Planning Ltd in 2014. She has previously achieved her Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Award in Financial Administration and is currently working towards becoming a Practice Manager and achieving BS 8577 for the business, which is the only British Standard for financial planning and advice firms.

She provides an invaluable support service to our clients and supervises our existing client administration team. Her duties are ensuring smooth running of the office, helping to improve the company procedures and day-to-day operation.

Outside of work Lucy enjoys exercising and often takes part in the local Maldon park run. She is very family orientated so enjoys spending her time with them and her friends.

Olivia Emmott DipPFS

Technical Manager

Olivia joined TFP Financial Planning Ltd in 2015. She has worked in Financial Services since 2013 and provides an invaluable day-to-day administration support service and manages our Technical teams work for our clients; which consists of preparing files ready for meetings, carrying out research and regular communication with clients.

She has recently completed her Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. She is now looking to work towards her CII Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, which she plans to complete within the next two years.

Outside of work Olivia has a large family and circle of friends, who she enjoys spending her time with. In her holidays, Olivia loves to travel and experience all different cultures.

Dan Haylett

Financial Planner

Dan joined TFP Financial Planning Ltd in September 2018. He has worked in the financial services industry for 16 years, specifically in Investment Management, where he has held Senior Sales and Management positions in the City with some of the largest Global Asset Management Companies.

As well as being a Financial Planner, Dan is going to be responsible for the day to day running of the TFP investment strategy, heading up the TFP Investment Committee alongside Casey, Ian and Olivia.

He has recently completed his Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) RO1, RO2, RO3, RO4 and RO5 exams and is currently studying towards his RO6 exam; which will give him the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning. He plans to study beyond this to gain CII Chartered status and also CFP Certified status in the coming years.

Dan is passionate about delivering real financial planning to clients knowing that this can change lives. He has spent his career understanding how the advice sector has a positive impact on people’s lives and is thrilled to be able to be in a position to now deliver this at TFP.

Dan is married to Diane and they have 2 daughters. Gracie, who is 10 and Olivia, who is 7. He regularly finds himself on the road taking Gracie to various singing and acting auditions and Olivia to the golf club to practice her swing!

Outside of work Dan is keen sportsman. He regularly plays golf to a good standard, representing Braintree Golf Club in interclub competitions. Having played Cricket for Essex County Cricket Club throughout his youth he is still a keen follower of cricket but unfortunately can’t find the time to play at the moment!

Louise McLean

Client Service Administrator

Louise joined TFP Financial Planning Ltd in 2017. She has a BA (Hons) in tourism and business management and is currently working towards her Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate in Paraplanning.

She provides an invaluable day-to-day administration support service to our clients which consists of diary management, preparing files ready for meetings and regular communication with clients.

Outside of work Louise enjoys socialising with her family and friends. She enjoys going to the gym and is currently training for her second 7K race.

Giedre Jones

Financial Controller

Giedre has worked for TFP Financial Planning Ltd since 2006 as a Financial Controller. She studied Computerised Accounting (including Sage & QuickBooks) and has also completed a business management qualification at Vilnius Management College (Lithuania). She is a key member of the team providing vital financial and administrative support. Married to Ian, they have two children.

Elaine has worked for TFP Financial Planning Ltd since January 2011 initially as an administration consultant providing vital secretarial, client and back-office support. She had previously worked for 10 years as a financial adviser, up until the arrival of her first child. Her experience is vital and in October 2012 she joined the company to help enhance our client service proposition and administratively support the growth of the business.

Abraham Okusanya MSc, AFPS, MCSI

Investment Consultant

Abraham is founder of investment and retirement research consultancy, FinalytiQ and creator of Timeline.co, an innovative online application for illustrating sustainable withdrawal strategies in retirement portfolios. He has authored several industry papers and delivered talks to the FCA, Chartered Insurance Institute, Personal Finance Society and several conferences across the country. He holds a Master’s degree from Coventry and an alphabet soup of designations, including the IMC, CFP, Chartered Financial Planner and Chartered Wealth Manager.

Mel Holman

Compliance Consultant

Melony has worked in the Financial Services profession for twenty two years. Her experience ranges from working in the offices of Royal London in the Industrial Branch department to reviewing complaint cases with the Investors Compensation Scheme (now the Financial Services Compensation Scheme) to working with IFA firms as a Network Compliance Officer; latterly as a Compliance Consultant running her own business, Compliance & Training Solutions Ltd. Mel is also a Chartered and Certified Financial Planner.
